This is an older story, but it was the first time I’ve seen it — I’m a little confused by the dates, though, so I’ll just assume that the story was written a few months after the incident took place. Here’s the link to the story of a woman who was pregnant with twins, and had a rare complication — an aortic dissection (not typically an obstetric complication; just a complication that happened while she was pregnant) — and was given a 7% chance of survival. Her husband was told to say his good-byes. She had the babies by C-section, followed immediately by a heart surgery. And lived.
