Support breast feeding after cesarean

There is a petition to raise awareness on breastfeeding in the immediate post-surgical time following a Cesarean birth. Too many times women are not allowed to hold or nurse their infants while their abdomens are being repaired. Sometimes, yeah, it makes sense — if the woman had general anesthesia, if the baby is having difficulty breathing and/or needs other immediate care, if the woman is shaking and/or vomiting and cannot or does not feel able to hold her baby. But most mothers and babies do not fall into those categories. Click here to add your signature to the petition. It’s free and takes just a few seconds.
